Milky Way from my house

hi, i hope i am posting this in the right group.

only recently my interest for astronomy deepened. i was not sure i could really see Milky Way from my house naked eye.

i have recently come from abroad and wanted to check it out, and WOW, it was so vivid. i could also see many clusters.

so i grabbed my compact cam, a Panasonic FZ28 and took some shots.

here is a 60 second exposure in ISO 800

and this one is a 40 second exposure at 1600 ISO

it is towards Scorpius. there is some pretty bad noise. but it was with a compact cam, so i am happy with the images.

Much better job than mine, I only did levels and a filter, I have no idea how to do any more, yours is great looks the Biz I am sure Ali will be very pleased with that one.
