FraserClarke
It's the end of the shuttle programme, and it will leave NASA without the ability to put a person in space.Their plan is to pay other people to do it for them, and eventually develop a commercial market for human launch capabilities... Doc
The space station life has just been extended to 2028 so I can't see NASA not using it.

George Jones
Humans last walked on the Moon in December, 1972. If no one walks on the Moon before December, 2022 (less than thirteen years away), it will be more than a half-century between human missions to the surface of the Moon.Astonishing.I think that many people in December, 1972 would have bet big money that humans would return to the Moon in less than fifty years. In 1972, most people would have found such a time lapse to be inconceivable.
Psychobilly
If you watch the first series of the Universe on any of the satellite channels we should have bases there by now , have flow a "plane" on Mars on the 100th anniversary of the Wright brothers first flight etc...How times haev changed and the brakes put on manned exploration...Cant beat a good robot....
