beautiful galaxy unknown for me

Hello every body,

Yesterday with the nice & clear weather, I have shot this nice galaxy (with my refractor) that I didn't know ! There is 20 exposure of 360s with darks & flats:

Beautiful it is indeed! Some faint outer arm detail in there too! Would be interesting to see what it looks like with even longer exposures! (kinda suggestion, ehem )

M61 in Virgo maybe Franck? Although depending which night you imaged it, the gibbous moon would have been a nuisance, so I am probably wrong.

M61 Is in Virgo.

I have checked and I have seen this one (May 2009) in my 10 inch dob. Just noted it as very faint! Mag 10.3 sbr 13.8 6 min of arc accross...In Bootes...Should be rising to a sensible viewing point..

It's a Caldwell object (number 45). I viewed it with an 8-inch at a dark site in March 2003 when it was low in the sky and there was a thin mist. I found it "large, faint and featureless". Ought to try it with the 12-inch when it's better placed. SkyAtlas Companion says the dark lanes towards the centre can be observed visually.
