This is ours, looking west.

Have the same sort of view to the north and south, east is a bit hampered with ttrees though.

Not much in the way of light pollution, which is nice!

It's not all fun fun fun!! cutting the grass can be a chore (but the ride on does have a beer, sorry, cup holder!).

It's in Normandy, I won't tell you how much it cost as it makes UK house prices seem utterly ridiculous!!

Normandy is a lovely place. We were over there last year having a look round. You would never get me off the ride on mower.

We try and get out there every month or so, but my girlfiend started a new job on Monday, so i'm off out on my own in a couple of weeks when the moon has gone.

Going to try out my new (to me) OO 12" dob (thanks Linton), can't wait.

This is a funny thread - I thought it was just me who is that nosy!!

Same goes for pictures of scopes inside houses too....I like to play spot the clutter, makes me feel better about my own house.

Just out of interest, and not to go too far off topic, where were you in Normandy?

We were staying in Hermanville Sur Mer and mainly doing the beach landing sites but also strayed inland sight seeing. Mainly so dad could checkout some second home options. We went through some lovely villages.

We're about an hour or so from the landing beaches.

Don't know how well you know Normandy, but if you draw a line 20 miles east from Mt St Michel you find us, quite far south for normandy.

Ah, so somewhere around Romagny?

We were supposed to be back over in Normandy for first week of June. We barely scratched the surface of what to see on our first visit. But Dad has decided he wants to do the WWI stuff around Ypres instead. So we're off to Belgium. But will be back in Normandy next year as i want to show my younger son all the beaches, he's WWII mad like me.

Very nice. It was the part of Normandy near there, the villages on the 'Red Ball Express', that we haven't touched yet. So hopefully we will be around there in 2011.

Looks a nice garden.....anything interesting growing in the greenhouse?

We have sweet peppers, chilli peppers, cherry tomato plugs, sweet peas and some other seeds that still haven't taken yet.

Mostly tomatoes. Everything is growing outside. Taken up most of my observing space!!. Shallots, onions, beetroot, lettuce, carrots and so on..

Nevermind, it will all be worthwhile when you are tucking into your home grown food. Providing the slugs, catapillars and birds don't eat it first....as happened to us last year. My lovely raspberry canes were demolished. ;(
