Iridium 67 My First Iridium Flare!

Managed to see and photograph my first Iridium flare!

I'm really chuffed with my first attempt. (Not sure what those red cirlces are!)

There's the techie bit:-

Iridium 67

Mag -8

Alt 42deg

Azimuth 141 deg (SE)

Time:-02:48:26 22 April 10

Location 3.5 km from flare centre

Panasonic Lumix FZ28

ISO 400, f4.0, 30 sec exposure

Clear skies

Carol, well done on catching the flare. Watch out it's addictive ;)... Not sure about the circles, it looks like maybe some moisture spots on the lens maybe ? Fingerprints ?

It sure is! I can't wait to do it again!

I think it might be moisture. While setting up I stupidly took the lens cap off and left it off for about 10mins before taking the shot. I realised later that it had started to dew over. Won't make that mistake again!!
