Following on from the other Thread...

Here's the finished results from lastnight Markarians Chain Region in Virgo

44x450s ISO 800 Baader BCF Modified Canon 1000D

WO Megrez 72 & Wo FF III with Hutech IDAS P2 Filter

EL Panel Flats, Dark Flats and Bias Kappa Sigma Stacked in DSS post-processed in CS3

So here we have the image in Colour...

I find "Faint Fuzzies" easier to see in Inverted BnW images...

And if anyone wants a go at seeing how many galaxies there are in the image data ....

I need to do some work on the flattener spacing by the looks of things..

I did this same region when I first installed my pier with the Nikon D200 on an Equinoxe-66 pro... Just wanted to see how the newere setup copped... At least i'll have a head satrt in the Galaxy ID stakes

I think that process can wait until I have grabbed a few hours "ugly" though...

Comparing the corner stars from this and the Monkey head I wonder if i have a bit of focuser slop the higher DEC target has better stars?

I had a look at the 5MB file and counted about 50 galaxies. Amazing!
