Hello Everyone - Flat Field Correction

This post caused a bit of a misunderstanding and some slightly ill-judged responses which I have deleted.

Duncan and Luke are students at Glasgow University and genuinely have questions on flat fielding in relation to solar imaging and solar limb darkening specifically.

I've moved this post to the Welcome area since they will be asking specific questions in the Lunar / Solar Imaging board.

Welcome to you both Duncan and Luke.

Mike

My sincere aologies to the lads . Hole , feet and jump . I reacted hastily because the exact same Q ( more or less verbetum verbetum ) had been asked earlier on another Forum, in exactly the same manner.

That said , had the lads introduced themselfs and explained about the Unversity Course, then my original reply would have been a lot different.

Again , apologies to Duncan and Luke.
