my 1st horse under nearly full moon

Well finally the clouds parted, and there it was......The MOON! I was looking forward to imaging something feint and and wondered if it was possible to record an image under such difficult conditions. Well I was rewarded with my first, and surely not my last IC434.

30x2min & 8x3min nearly full moon, dew, mist, clouds etc.

I'm thinking the desaturated version may be better?

The 2nd one is a lot better, I was playing with the 1st pic, but found that to be very saturated with red, with some careful processing, it would come out quite nice.

Well captured under such bad conditions - I am sure you will re-visit that amazing object. Personally, the mono version does it for me!

thanks for your comments guys. you are right Deneb I need to learn more processing techniques and maybe try some different software. I will hopefully get more time on it this winter.

I like them too, especially for the conditions, but don't give up on the colour. I wonder why you have the strange blue gradient round two sides. Do you have either Noel's Actions or Gradient Xterminator for Ps? You could try Selective Colour on the over blue areas and just drop the curve a bit. It might work though the thing would be to identify the cause.
