Otherwise, I don't know, but I thing you should keep the astronomy reference subtle. Like some of the mentioned star names. Just don't call him/her Betelgeuse. :D

My baby granddaughter is called 'Lyra' and she's the brightest star in our lives - though I think it derrived more from Philip Pullman's trilogy 'His Dark Materials' aka 'The Golden Compass' rather than the night sky. It gives me a great deal of pleasure looking at Vega and friends now though.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, definitely some food for thought there. Not to mention a good dose of SGL humour - I look forward to relaying some of the more, well, interesting suggestions to wifey later this evening!

I imagine that, after all, we will settle on a 'normal' name. Although 'M33' might make for a great middle name!
