Double Cluster (NGC 869/884) in Perseus

I took this shot briefly of NGC 869 / 884 with my WO Setup & my modded 450D. I used DSS+Gxterminator, 11x 2min subs, 5x darks & 5x lights @ ISO 800:

My favourite too and very nicely captured/presented. Strongly reminds me of eyepiece views. I always appreciate seeing it widefield, gives a real perspective.

Cool - its a difficult target - I don't think I've got anything with a wide enough FoV I can point at this puppy....

Am I right in thinking you don't need a modded DSLR for something like this?

thats right, you don't needed a modded camera for this object, but there are some orange stars in both clusters, which look nice with a modded camera. Also I think there maybe some nebulosity in this cluster - looking at some google images.
