M51 - first autoguided image

Hi all,

Having got all my gear together.. have spent the last 2 nights testing and getting things to do as they should. First off I did a few 3 and 5 min exposures to check if the guiding was working.. and it appeared to be spot on!

Here is my first autoguided image, went for an easy target (well one I know I can get), a series of 2x5min 11x3min, dark subtracted.

Only 43mins exposure before fast and low clouds came and oranged me out , but just watching the exposures download before stacking was a 'wow' moment... needs more time, but guiding has made such a difference, can see more and more late nights coming!!

Looks like you've cracked it for sure Chris! I remember that moment my first successful guided long expsure was downloaded, leap up and down and punch the air time.
