Hi Steven,

As Paul said, the CSOG (Scottish Astronomers) is local to you. All good people and worth contacting. You might also want to meet the Astro Soc of Glasgow. We use the Meade 16" about twice a month, do public outreach with the Uni at the Botanics and also have a series of lectures / other observing events. There are several ASG members on SGL.

Look up ASG on G**gle - we enjoy astronomy and the odd beer : ) So drop by and say hello.

Hi from me too. East Kilbride, eh? Used to work there on the Technology Park but managed to escape. Im a regular with the ASG The Astronomical Society of Glasgow at Acre Road over the winter months.
