Another day of shower dodging. White light shows a blank disc bit the "new" active area, now near the centre of the disc, is interesting and there are a couple of smallish but nice proms on show.

Observing conditions were poor with thin high cloud adding to the usual unsteady seeing.

Calcium disk, 1414 UT:

Active area near the centre of the disc, with prominent filament, 1624 UT:

Did you take a white light shot for comparison??

No, just draw a circle & fill it in, that's all I could see in white light!

If we are going to be treated to cracking images like this every day then its saving a fortune in having to get the kit myself... :cool:

Better send me a cloud cutter then. Or a 40,000 ft tower....
