A Sharpless parade: Sh2-223 to Sh2-228

Here are six objects from the Sharpless catalogue, some quite rarely imaged and others better known, particularly the supernova remnant Sh2-224 to the right, sometimes called The Rice Hat Nebula.

This is mainly the result of the recent collective effort of the scopes on my triple rig: A Samyang 135 with an Omegon veTEC571C and two RASA 8 with ASI2600MC, all with IDAS NBZ filter, so mainly Ha and Oiii. To those 36 hours I have added about 25 hours of RASA 8 data from 2021 and 2022. So totally 61 hours.

Processed in PI and PS with the XTerminator tools.

Great image, and for some reason I think M38 being in there really adds something to it.
