It was a slow night, and I hardly saw anything. I decided to pack up early (5 AM) for a change as I was feeling a little more worn out than usual.

The cameras are running again tonight, and just a little while ago @ 19:09:20 UT I observed what may have been a fireball magnitude earthgrazing Geminid, heading from overhead in a westerly direction. One of the cameras should have caught a good part of it too.

I have not yet even had a chance to check the footage from two nights back, but it looks like the clear nights are over after tonight, so hope to go through some footage soon!

Yes, i saw that one as well, it was a beauty.

I was at M1 J28 motorway, so just shows you how bright it was.

Glad someone else caught it. Quite high in the sky, which means it was relatively close, hence why it was quite impressive - it was already quite bright to begin with. It was almost too close for the camera!

That's quite spectacular! From S Wales it was low in the sky - Ursa Major area from the cameras here.

Turns out it was a sporadic, and would have been much closer to you than it was to us here in Derby. 12 people have reported it so far.

I just started going through footage from 14/15 Dec this afternoon and found another sizable sporadic fireball (also over Wales/The Borders) among the Geminids! But have had to put that on hold as the sky is clear so I'm attending to cameras again!
