M31 - first attempt at HaLRGB

This is my first ever attempt at combining Ha with LRGB.

My 'elegant light touch' seems to have escaped me !!!!

Well over cooked but the principle of combing Ha with LRGB was very interesting.

Very nice David 

you say “overcooked” I don’t agree, believe me, at the moment I feel like the king of overcooking and this is sautéed gently by comparison! 
I haven’t returned to M31 for years as I find it a sod to process, and in my humble opinion  you’ve done a lovely job here! 
I personally like v1 better, probably the tone, but I really can’t comment from from a position of authority on this, it’s just my preference 

are you still using the big Atik camera?

Both stunning images but if we're voting..

My brain votes for V2, probly better colour correction?

My heart votes V1, lovely warm image that I can lose myself in.

Great images David, as you have so ably demonstrated, there’s nothing wrong with CCD cameras. I’ve yet to try adding Ha data to my several versions of M31, but it’s on my to do list for this season.
