Seeing was awful. Not sure i am going to bother much more. Untill it returns higher next year

245,mm Orion Newt  ZWO ADC. QHY 462C. Baarder Q turret barlow. EQ5

Well done for trying. The seeing started off quite nicely in July/August, but since mid September it has been awful. I am also waiting until next year now.

Might have a go at Uranus and Neptune though.

Same here Peter. similar pattern to what you have had in your neck of the woods. Approaching winter its taken a dive. Neptune and Uranus are interesting. Especially Neptune. With storms being apparent. Big scopes help with that pursuit. 12" could do quite well. 10" a bit less. No goto here so finding neptune not easy. Your big scope can really pick up some detail on those worlds.

Not just me then. For me just observing but same here in Southampton. I thought it was a little extreme getting up at 2am in mid-June & still early hours In August but now I’m glad that I did.

Certainly tried hard to pull something out. But the seeing really was pretty poor. Can be surprising what can be pulled out of that kind of seeing.
