A few mods to my dob

First off. Ptfe bearings I made to stop any sidewards movement on my alt bearings. I did use felt pads but caused a lot of drag next  photos. Show before and after shots of flocking to mirror box

Looks loads darker now that should help with contrast and is the ptfe smoother now do you not need anything hold it in place so doesn't slip.

hi paul. the ptfe pads only stop sideways float not alt motion

Mirror box much darker now nice work. 

Did you make your whiffle trees? Been thinking about making an cell for an EQ mounted newt, not sure if 3D printed whiffle trees would be rigid enough

That Kaldex looks brilliant Mike, When you made the box I was in awe of it, woodwork is not my thing I cannot even saw straight 😃
