Clear skies!!    Man, I can't wait to actually image at NIGHT again.  No luck for quite a while.

Very nicely done. A good way to spend part of a sunny Saturday on the Island.

Thanks Dave!  It WAS a nice morning.   Lovely and cool...  no mosquitoes.   Shame the clouds stuck around till well after sunrise but at least they left!  :)))

You’re getting some good detail with the Vixen Mike.
I know you have used the 140 for imaging both during the day and the night. How do you find the seeing compares between the two different times ? I know the altitude will also vary, but wondered if you have found much difference in how turbulent the atmosphere is, particularly under sunlight

Night time is better for sure 90% of the time.  Daytime images require more processing and you lose some of the terminator because of having to darken blacks so much (at least for mono work).     Because I am limited to shooting in IR I can't amp up the resolution much, if at all.  Having said all that, I am pretty stoked that images like these can be captured in Daylight!   It has opened up more imaging days.  Seeing forecast was good for today - if I was not working I would SO have been imaging!   It has helped my mindset a lot for this very dismal year of very few nights out.   Yesterday I imaged again, and will post a few images shortly - turbulance was worse but to my surprise my images are still postable.   I am happy enough.  lol

Clear skies my friend!

Mike
