I especially like this image as I think I've figured out how to keep the background dark with stretching the histogram. This weeks discussion on curves certainly helped! Sam Posted February 15, 2009 Author Share Posted February 15, 2009 Thanks for the comments chaps! The workflow:1. All 65 stacked in DSS.2. Autosave file from DSS opened in PixInsight.3. Moderate curve applied (with the RT box ticked to adjust on the fly).4. On levels the middle slider moved closer to the right hand base of the curve.5. Left hand slider moved a bit closer to the start of the upslope of the curve.6. Curves applied again - just subtly though.7. Repeat 4,5 and 6 with the RT box ticked so you can see what's going on - experiment with different parts of the curve to see what happens.8. Somewhere in the middle there do the dynamic background thingy (false flats basically).8. Crop if necessary and save.Sam Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
