Can you share pics of your power tank

Recommended Posts

Hi eswardn12,

This is the Skywatcher 17Ah powertank;

Some people use a car jump starter which can be cheaper;

I use a scooter/leisure battery like this;

   https://www.amazon.co.uk/HQ-Universal-Sealed-Rechargeable-Battery

With the car or scooter batteries you may need to make up a lead to connect them to your mount.

The above are examples, you may be able to find other brands from local suppliers. These are all lead/acid batteries. You could also use Lithium power packs/batteries which are much lighter, but also much more expensive.

Good luck.

I use  the celestron power tank referenced above  and it works  great. I love the red light  feature as  well for finding your way in the dark without  hurting  dark adaptation.

I use this one which could be the same as above.

very happy with it in terms of size, charge and outputs. Only problem was the eye watering price, which has gone up a bit.

lights on it are also really useful. Also came with a lead to power my scope.

I would recommend this one.

Thanks Lenscap, Tripleped and Andy ES: I am tempted to purchase the 17Ah mainly because of the price but it's a shame it's out of stock and FLO doesn't deliver to India. I might go ahead with Lithium Pro as suggested by Andy ES (Optcorp)!

Thinking about buying the Bresser 100W. Can someone give any feedback?

I use the Bresser 100W to power my Celestron SE mount or SW Eq5 motors. Absolutely no complaints so far, it's working well. Much lighter and smaller than I had imagined.

I bought it from Astroshop.eu. I had an issue on delivery where the display had been quite badly scratched prior to me recieving it - the shop offered me a discount which was very good of them.
