Astrophotography book

Recommended Posts

Anybody heard of a book "Astrophotography for Amateurs" by Michael Covington? Any good?

The Amazon reviews seem to think so...

Unless you can recommend another? I thought I would invest in some material rather than pester everyone :wink

Darren,

Its an excellent book, but it is mainly about film photography - there are sections on CCD imaging but (certainly in the edition that I have) it's fairly limited.

But all the same it is an excellent book and well worth the money.

There are a lot of skills that can be brought over from Film into Digital, and having a sound knowledge of this book will help no end.
