Hi All

I’m normally lurking in the Planetary Imaging space but I thought I’d venture in here for the first time.

Aren’t there some fabulous images in here?

I normally use a dedicated camera set up but just thought I’d have a pop last night.

It’s taken through a C9.25 and 10 mm Delos.

Thanks for looking.

5 minutes ago, Alan White said:

How did you see through the cloud and rain one asks.... or were you a lucky soul and had a gap.
That is quite something from a phone camera.

In Leeds it was sunny all day and clear by night Alan. There was a thin film of misty cloud at first which improved. It was still clear when I packed up at midnight.

i have to admit I was shocked by the quality for a first attempt, one shot, hand held.

im seriously thinking about ditching the planetary camera and getting a eyepiece adapter and remote control.

it’s the colours that hit me. They are what you see in the eyepiece with no sickly orange or distortion.

I’ve got some avis to process today so let’s compare.

You were lucky with the weather, its grim down south.

I try with my older iPhone 6s, but its struggles a lot, even on Lunar.
Perhaps when it needs replacing, which may be soon due to battery life, then I might take a step in the right direction.

You carry on doing what you are doing, its looking a good start with a phone.
Some in my club use phones for images and turned some quite decent results.
