10mm Eyepiece search

I am looking for a very sharp 10mm eyepiece for planetary viewing.

I wish I could get an Orthoscopic but the only one available seems to be the rather expensive Zeiss Abbe's.

So can anyone recommend a tack sharp 10mm plossl - around the £100 mark.

Thanks in advance.

How about an Orion Ultrascopic / Parks Gold Series (clones of each other) ? - I've found those pretty good - on a par with Tele Vue Plossls. SCS Astro do the Ultrascopics I think.

You might be able to get a 10mm Tele Vue Radian 2nd hand for your max budget - nice eye relief with those as well as a 60 degree FoV.

Again you might find a used Takahashi 10mm LE - those are pretty sharp I believe.

The obvious choice is the 11mm TV but as you said it doesn't quite fit in.

So i give another vote to the Orion Ultrascopic or Parks Gold. Easily the match of the TV Plossl. And fits in the budget nicely.

If you can find one, a 10.5mm smoothside TV plossl is excellent. I had one and loved it, but stupidly sold it....

Yes. Quite. As did I, I might say...

I'd heartily recommend this. Also, a Pentax 10.5mm XL Would serve excellently, though might be a bit over budget, even 2nd hand at £140-ish.
