Would you drill a hole in a Takahashi?

Certainly, it would be fun.

PS not sure I could bring myself to look through a refractor!

You’ll have to blank off your finderscope then, Andrew. Or “carry handle” as I believe it’s called in a Mewlon.

Holes drilled in tubes and tubes cut to length to allow the use of binoviewers while you wait.  Anything from the ones paulastro dared to mention on this thread to Takahashi's.       :evil4:

Well Peter, you're not known by your friends as Driller Drew for nothing 😄.

I had holes drilled in my brake levers until I hit a security gate at work. Ouch!

Relevance? Probably nil.  But read on:

What about bunging the guts from the Tak in another tube to be amply drilled to taste?

Mr Drew Esq. could probably whip up something in a nice bit of 6" grey PVC drainpipe.

Might even do it in "ally" if you have the necessary funds. 😱

Suits you sir! :rolleyes2:

Actually I’m really excited that you might go ahead with the Mewlon, Andrew.

Perhaps when Mars is around later in the year, and assuming it’s allowed, we could do a side by side with my Tak TSA 120 🙂

Best take along a nice bottle of Monkey Shoulder as well Jeremy, because I've a feeling that one of you at least is going to need it!

I still have a Pace RC200 mountain bike with the custom rectangular aluminium alloy frame with indents to save weight. No need for the drill on it.

Regards Andrew

I remember those! Very handsome frames.
