We have spots! Very small but we have something approaching sunspots. Ca-K full disk took a bit of effort today, stitched badly first time. Tried re-stitching and that failed too. Tried ICE, still no good. Went back and re-stacked the data, bumped up the sharpening in ImPPG and presto, it stitched!

 

 

Lots of proms on show in Ca-K still.

 

 

 

Needed to get the active area with the spots in at a decent image scale i.e. needed to go to 2500mm FL but the seeing was all over the place. Ran about a half dozen captures in Ca-K before getting something vaguely passable. Switched to white light and things were much easier. So same region at the same effective focal length, one in WL and the other in Ca-K.
