Welcome Astro Alice and dad that's a great first telescope a bit easier than an EQ , seeing your in London hard to find dark skies here is a link for a light pollution map

There's is not a lot I can add,  just like to say enjoy this amazing hobby it's out of this world 🌎

Thanks Neil, that's also why we were looking for a scope we can travel with.  We are often away to see family connections (not at the minute 😧) so it would be coming with us!

In that case I would suggest looking at the SW 150 collapsable Dob as already mentioned...

Can you change the order ?

Good job I checked, skywalker don't know when they will have stock for the 130p anyway so could be waiting weeks. They've cancelled my order and I've ordered the 150p 😊

Welcome Alice and dad, you'll find lots of helpful people on here. Enjoy the heaven's and keep it simple to begin with. I started into astronomy when I was 11, now 61, lol. The wonder and beauty of the night sky has never left me.

No worries at all, its a very good scope option to throw into the mix!  Although Alice is still insisting on full dob....

The full dob is the better option but it is not quite as portable as the collapsable version.

Yeah, would love a full dob, but I can't drive, so the heritage seemed a good option to be able to carry around 😁
