spikkyboy
Hi, does anybody have experience with the Pole Master camera and software? Seems like a good idea but the software video I've seen looked complicated? Hope this is in the correct forum as struggled to decide. Please feel free to move mods. dannybgoode
It’s very easy to use but if you’re going to be imaging and using a guide scope then SharpCap has a polar alignment routine that works in exactly the same way but uses your guide camera and scope. The licence is $10 so way cheaper and just as effective.
spikkyboy
Thanks for that. So even with a guide scope and camera I need to nail the polar align?
carastro
If you are doing imaging Polar alignment needs to be as accurate as you can get it. I use Polemaster and it's not difficult at all, the software gives you full instructions right the way through the procedure. Sharpcap system is also good so I hear but if you think that Polemaster is complicated this looks to me far more complicated. But for a £10 licence might be worth giving it a "go". PeterCPC
I use Polemaster and an accurate PA takes me about 5 mins. Peter
