A good rule of thumb for max magnification of a scope is approx 50/inch or twicw the objective diameter in mm.

50/inch gives x157

Twice the diameter in mm is x160

I would think x150 is ok, so the idea of a barlow with the 8mm eyepiece is sound.

The 80 has no problems with 150x on Saturn or Jupiter. And will push a bit further on the moon.

That's a mighty setup you just ordered. Glad you didn't flaff about with the eyepieces and got some nice ones straight off. They will show off the quality optics in the 80. And that's a great diagonal too. And some very nice binos too. Hmm your budget was slightly higher than i thought. :D
