Terminal binding posts for ring connectors

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for some terminal binding posts suitable for ring connectors, but most of the ones I can find either don't state that they're suitable (obviously they need to unscrew completely so a ring can go over the top of the post) or are only suitable for "Y" connectors.  I could replace the connectors on my cables, but using the correct type of post in the first place would save the hassle.  Even the likes of Farnell don't seem to make it clear in many cases.

Is anyone able to point me at a source that are definitely suitable?

Personally, for a 'fixed' installation I'd replace\augment the terminal posts with a more robust connector (e.g. Neutrik Speakon).

This would ensure that with the constant heating\cooling of the terminal connectors, that they don't come loose thereby giving intermittent connections.

It also makes it easier\neater to build power distribution systems (to my mind anyway)….
