Burned up my motherboard!

Fumbling in the dark, I hooked up my battery wrong and burned up my motherboard.

It's a Sky-Watcher 250P dobsonian 10" with goto controller.   I don't know which motherboard I need or where to get one.  Any help would be appreciated!!

I'm in the United States, Iowa.  It's the power board, where everything plugs in to the scope.

Reminds me of an american customer, (when I used to work for Tandy), that purchased a Radio Shack desktop computer in the US and forgot to flick the voltage switch, (which was located on the back), from 110-120 to 220-240 when they got it home to the UK.

This altitude board appears to be the right board for your scope, it having the power connector on. Being in Germany it's not so convenient for you, but there must be similar such outlets in the US which can supply replacements.

There is also an azimuth board listed further down the page which is connected to the altitude board which may also have been affected but hopefully not. Was the handset also connected at the time of your mishap. Possibly it is diode protected so would suffer no harm.

Either contact Skywatcher USA direct, or one of the dealers in LA,  doesn't seem to be anywhere closer to Iowa. 

Look for a part number on the board.

It will cost around $80 -100 and it is easy to replace.

your local SW branch will help you out.
