Forest of Bowland

Had a trip out on Sunday evening to the Forest of Bowland.   Clear when I set off but then the pesky cloud came in.  Lots of light pollution from Preston and East Lancs.  14mm lens 25s Nikon D750

What a shame about those clouds ! I've been up there a few times and if the air is dry and clear the towns don't cause too much of a problem.

I'll be popping up to Beacon Fell on Saturday with pretty much the same gear as you. We'll see how the conditions are as the forecast is very good.

Was cloudy here (only a stones throw from there) on and off until about midnight then a real clear night here until morning, sorry but clouds must of rolled your way.

Gosh,

I remember the Trough of bowland back in the mid 80's used to go fishing there with my Grandpa good old days when I was a young lad. Fond memories very nice place.

I had one of my best nights observing in my life watching Perseids on Beacon fell back in the 80's. That was BC....before children.
