NGC 891 - Spiral Galaxy in Andromeda

Another really clear and frosty night tonight, decided to have a go at this object with the ED80, managed almost 3 hours worth of subs.

70 x 150 second subs (2Hrs 57Min) @ ISO1600, ED80 Pro + unmodded 400D, unguided on EQ5, eventually had to give up as everything was white with frost.

Thanks again for the kind comments.

Mark, struggled with the alignment all last night, does not show too badly but had to discard almost 50 Min's worth of subs, suppose not too bad for unguided!.

Just need to win the lottery and get a guide cam and guide scope - then will need to upgrade to a HEQ5 or 6, where does it all end this money pit of a hobby. Will just stick with the present setup of the ED80 and unguided EQ5 as I am sure there are lots of objects that can be imaged with 2-3 min subs, you just need lots of them with a DSLR to get a decent image. Nothing like a challenge, there is no fun if it is too easy.
