My first mosaic

Hi everyone. So I'm looking to do some form of mosaic over the weekend. 

Is it better to stack in mosaic mode in DSS or merge in photoshop? 

And is there any other advice for me as this is mainly a learning evening for me so any tips would help. 

Also do I need just 1 set of calibration frames or a set for each part of the mosaic.

I believe the mosaic mode of stacking in DSS is not what you expect, it is just integrating all the frames without removing the margins.

You could do it probably later in PS or with MS ICE, but try to be as precise as you can in stretching the panels to the same level and bring the background to the same value.

There are better ways to merge the panels in the linear phase, but I only know APP and PixInsight to be able to do that.

Unless you change anything in the setup, a single set of calibration frames is enough.
