A true jewel in the constellation of the Southern Cross. NGC 4755 is a cluster that can be seen with the naked eye by southern hemisphere observers.

Telescope GSO 305mm f / 4.

Skywatcher AZ / EQ-6.

Original Canon 6D Camera.

CLS-CCD filter.

Baader MKIII.

45 x 15 ISO 1600.

Piraí / RJ - Brazil.

Adry, that’s a superb image of a beautiful target. The only time I’ve seen it was through the 16” Meade LX200 at the Mount John Observatory, NZ on a trip there in 2013. It blew me away then and your image has brought back great memories for me, thanks. Geof

Sometimes seeing NGC 6231 when we’re on La Palma reminds us of The Jewel Box...

I already photographed NGC6231, and yes, you're right they are very similar.
