No, don't laugh! I got the idea from the Oz Astronomy Forum "Ice In Space", where members were asked how to keep the dew off their scopes in winter. Various suggestions were forthcoming until one bright spark came up with the idea of using a camp shower/toilet tent. Well, the forum lit up with members shouting "Genius!", "Brilliant!" etc.

So my wife duly erected our tent and there it is with the new Dob installed.

Actually I have to confess it proved too much hassle getting it in and out over the bottom zipped piece so I've decided to keep the scope under the large canopy over our patio, where it will keep dry and at ambient temperature. Just need clear skies now! ?

At star parties toilet tents are popular "scope homes" 

There are a couple of tents out there designed for astro use. Kendrick is one name that springs to mind.
