stepping beyond
I've been trying to figure out what's up with my guiding , the 1st night was hideous , the 2nd time wasn't better and the 3rd time was killing me. I checked the level , balance and adjusted my sidereal track rate from .5 to 2 per another fellow astronomer . It's starts out real nice but, then it turns ugly and I just can't put my finger on it. Help me loungers?
newbie alert
I'm no expert and not been guiding for long but you will still get decent stars with 1.23 rms..but as a guess is suggest make sure the scope is pretty well balanced but east heavy and the PA is the best you can get .. PhotoGav
Is the mount connected to PHD? It’s strange that there don’t seem to be any corrections on the guide graph and the stats panel doesn’t know the declination or pier side...?
alacant
Hi. What's wrong with the images? The graphs look OK, but best to look at the images and then correct from there. Cheers.

paul mc c
You don't seem to have calibrated your mount, maybe that will help.
kens
Would be useful if you post your guide logs. But my first observation is that you are guiding at close to 5'"/pixel. Achieving an RMS of better than 0.2 pixels is not easy. But there's probably mechanical issues involved as well. And as others have said, if your images are ok then why worry?
