Jupiter, GRS, Io and shadow - 28th am

For those night owls up and about, Jupiter will put on a splendid show on Wednesday 28th Feb around 4:00 am (GMT/UT), with the GRS, Io transiting and the shadow transiting. Height above the horizon about 20degrees, slightly E of S.

Cloudy here at three thirty Chris. We had an early morning alarm call from the little person who is not very well. I had a look out of the curtains and was almost relieved  that it wasn't clear! Pretty cold here but only half an inch of snow.

It was pretty grim here this morning, another chance soon again though

Looks like 5am on 7th March has a GRS Transit and shadow Transit of Io, could be good.

Thanks Stu, I'll set an early alarm on the 7th. Not sure my wife will be so keen though so may have sleep downstairs on the settee!

I'll update the calendar with all the decent looking transits when I can.
