Summer - Winter

I have come to the conclusion that I am a summer observer.  Not having an Obsy is a major drawback when keeping warm.  Either that or I need to emigrate nearer the equator

Last night in the gusty winds sending the temps right down and shaking the scope around, I was coming to a similar conclusion

Spare a thought though for some of our friends in places like Canada who are observing in -20 or lower at the current time

I was up this morning observing Jupiter and Mars and it did feel very cold, despite being above freeing. Wind chill I guess, took me quite a few cups of tea to warm up!

September is my favourite time. More nighttime but still warmish and lots of lovely Milky Way stuff to see (and the Veil). Still I like M42 and other Orion stuff that’s around now despite the cold.

I put up with winter's chill because of the brilliant targets. I also get a decent imaging run before having to turn in.

No such thing as freezing nights just inferior clothing 

But saying that my fingers get cold all the time.
