"Push-To" revisited. (Sky-Tee, Wixey Gauge etc.)

Lots of folks will have tried this one out? The Push-To mount! :p

A digital Angle Gauge reads the scope azimuth and a calibrated
scale shows the (compass) direction! More usually this is seen in
in context of a Dobsonian mount (scope). BUT I will be using it
on my Sky-Tee Mount! And it works just as well there! [IMO!] :)

I happened to notice yesterday that the Original (famous) Wixey
style angle guages now come in an *illuminated* version with a
longer lasting pair of AAA batteries! The rather bright green LED
has sufficient brightness to be nicely seen through a red filter! ;)

Just arrived by courier in the pouring rain! :clouds1:

I find I can put a scale on the Sky-Tee mount that can be read
to two degrees or so. Just set the altitude on the "Wixey" and
scan back and forth until you find the elusive DSO / whatever!

A work in progress...
