Wonderful article about the most influential astronomer of our time. I don't think Patrick realises how many people are amateur and professional astronomers, because of his books and programmes, if he does, he is very modest about it.

Hi Paul

I told him that exact statement recently and he plays it down

saying he is no more different an amature astronomer than the rest of us.

He wont have it any other way.
