Musical Tastes

I've seen films, comedies etc... but not music (unless I'm blind, it's been said before :) ) I ask because I just <cough>downloaded<cough> the new Billy Corgan Album to give it a listen, it's called the future embrace. It's not as good as The Smashing Pumpkins but it's not too bad, plus they're hopefully reforming! Yay!

Anyway, my favourite bands are:

    The Smashing Pumpkins
    K's Choice
    October Project
    The Shins
    Bright Eyes
    Damien Rice
    Jason Mraz
    Buddy Holly
    Dashboard Confessional
    Tracy Chapman
The Buckleys (Jeff and His Dad, Tim)
    The Polyphonic Spree
    Pink Floyd
    Coldplay
    Idlewild
    David Bowie
    Counting Crows
    Goo Goo Dolls
    [/list:u]
Whoa, that list got long quick, I'll stop now....

The scary thing is as I look down that list there are very few names that I know

For me

Pink Floyd

Led Zepplin

Cypress Hill

ZZ Top

Vivaldi

AC/DC

Iron Maidon

There are more that I like but can't remember of the top of my head.

I also have in the care several compilations Pulp Fiction and a couplke of chill out albums.

The music of today isn't as good as it was in the 80's - I feel a fight coming on!

Try the seventies now there was a fun music era with all that glam rock/

punk rock / disco / heavy rock.

If ye listen closely to todays music you can hear a lot of the seventies influence.

Half the music of today is made up of bits of older songs thats exept

Rubbish oh i mean RAP its so hard to tell the difference. A little exract from

the high IQ rapper-

Music our day's at least Pop music is total and utter rubbish! with the advent of super sampler keyboards were you press one key and the whole music track is played for you. It's as if the imagination for music has gone done the toilet and what we get is the soft brown sticky stuff that comes out at the other end. From the moronic 1/4 time drum beat DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM endlessly thumping your bass speakers to the howling whailing sweet sixteen virgontic vocal's singing please buy our records as we have no talent what so ever and too the endless cover version's that inc the DUM DUM DUM DUM and Howl howl howl howl that are just plain rubbish compared to the musical skill's of there orignal composer's.

One word CRAZY FROG! Q.E.D.

Anyway onto my list,

J.J.JARRE

Mark Shreeve

Tangerine dream

Hawkwind

Iron maidon

Old mettalica (before they changed into a group of girls)

Sabbat/Skyclad

Mozart

Bach

Dead can Dance

Bizet

Mahler

Brahms

Strauss

Wagner

Tv/Film's music (good bad n the ugly etc etc)

R.H.C.P

Floyd

Vivaldi

Too name a few.
