Well wasn't expecting too much as regards to summer seeing conditions but was pretty blowed away by the steady air from 04:00-06:00am on the 23rd.

Moon nice and high :)

C9.25 / 2x Barlow / Lum 075M

1800 Images Approx - contrast only applied to final registax image.

Ah!, now I see why they are so good. That is a great combination James.

I thought I recognized the quality from somewhere. The Luminera camera is used by another member of SGL for lunar stuff. Not the same model as yours, but they are well suited for this work.

Of course, having the tools is not the whole story, they have to be used properly too.

You have produced very nice work here.

first of all, thanks Ron.

Gaz, honestly i really do nothing. All the images here are raw straight from registax 4. I apply sharpening, but not too much. There is no softening at all.

I always say you have to get out there for these nights and get out whenever there is a clear night..sure it kills your sleep, but sometimes its worth it.

O yeah, you have to have perfect focus :-)
