Orangey object low in the West this evening.

Thought that I would take a quick look for Venus at around 7.15 p.m. this evening. I think that it was too low and to close to the sun this time.

I did see an orange colour object low in the West at about 20 degrees. It did appear disc like and did not focus like a star. It was bright, but nowhere near the brightness of Venus. This was at 7.45 P.m. this evening. Not sure what it was. Any i formation  would be great.

I was observing Mercury this evening and, as always, it showed a pink hue. Mars is very tiny at present with a diameter of just over 4 arc seconds with a phase of around 95%. Mercury is currently larger at around 6 arc seconds or just over, and has a phase easily detectable in a telescope of around 75%. It looks decidedly gibbous at X100.
