Very short and sweet - Venus at 5.7%

Literally just popped outside to catch a clearing in the clouds to see Venus with a very thin 5.7% illumination. Fortunately the Tak 100 takes virtually no cool down time and 90x showed the slim and delicate phase very nicely.

I'm supposed to be cooking supper right now so I was risking getting an earfull to do this but it's worth it !

Clouding back over again now so 10 minutes well spent there

I got a glimpse between clouds, walked towards getting scope, clouds rolled back in.

Nice one John. Sadly clouds spoiling any views over here again. Hope supper goes OK too!

I've just had a quick view also John, it's getting low now. I also had a look with 10x50s and the phase was obvious.

Similar experience tonight for myself as well, lots of cloud with just a few gaps. The phase is very obvious in my 9x63 binoculars as well.

Simply gorgeous this evening...    Phase visible in 6x30 finder.
