Astro Imp
Had a nice surprise lunch time, a white van pulled up and delivered two nice Skywatcher boxes, my new 8" GOTO dob Spent the afternoon putting it together, (pretty easy, no problems). Just need to figure out the handset and will be good to go tomorrow, weather permitting.
JOC
Astro Imp, I got the same two boxes just before Crimbo, they are pretty impressive packages aren't they? If, like me, you now struggle for clear night time skies, don't forget that, providing you stay away from the sun, you can practice aligning the finderscope and changing lenses in the daytime. It is not as satisfying as nightime use, but is whole lot better than not using it. Have fun and clear skies!
Major
Or you could put a T-ring on it and try some extreme plane spotting with DSLR

Thanks for drawing them away...
