Dew Shield for Skywatcher 9x50 Finderscope

There does not seem to be a dew shield made for Skywatcher finderscopes so I decided to make one.

I found that the cardboard container for Johnsons Cotton Buds (small size) was exactly the right size. I took the bottom out and lined it with black paper then wrapped duct tape around the outside to give a bit of waterproofing. Length is 65mm so a little bit short but better than nothing and cost nothing.

Thats neat - I need one of those because mine dewed up at a public star party last week. It doesn't dew up at home but it's annoying when it does and folks are waiting to peek though your scope !

I have made a dew shield out of neoprene with velcro to fasten it together. Its about 5" long and works very well.
