Been a while since I ventured over here... made some significant equipment upgrades in the past several months

would have liked to get a lot more Oiii data, but the weather had other plans. All comments and critique are welcome!

Great image. It's also nice to see the new ASI being used for DSO. What do you think of this camera?

Thanks! I think the camera is great. It has really made coming out of the DSLR world and into monochrome pretty easy. I was used to shooting 10-15 minute narrowband shots with the Canon, 5 minutes seems to be the max I need with the 1600. I'm sure its not the best on the market, but for someone just starting with mono imaging, catch beat the performance for the price

I am seriously thinking of getting a 1600mmcool.  Everything looks great except the 10 bit (or is it 12).  How is this aspect-0-its the only thing holding me back.  They say that stacking will recover the dynamic range that 16 bit provides.

Excellent work - I've ordered the 1600 too and it's encouraging to see you found the transition to mono easy :-) I've been imaging with a QHY8 OSC for a few years, great fun and ok results but its time for a new challenge
