30 July 2016 - Lots of Proms!

I just had a look and there is lots of activity around the limb in Ha

The small group of sun spots that appeared yesterday are still extremely small so there isn't much going on in white light

That said, I have my Baader wedge in the 6" F8 Evostar and it is showing some lovely surface detail at low mag with a polarising filter to reduce the glare

Let's hope the clouds stay away!

Nice one Derek...... I had the chance half an hour ago but didn't take it  its come over very cloudy very quickly !!!

Proms look good on GONG but not much chance of seeing them here, cloud and rain all day by the looks of it, supposed to be dry but raining ATM

We have the Sun... well there are some clear patches on the way  I have managed to see a single prom through the haze but it is getting better.

I just set-up the Quark in the Altair 152 and the view is magnificent

But  the clouds are now starting to turn grey rather than fluffy white and there are more of them rolling in from the west

Inbetween the clouds I too am getting some nice views Derek - Altair 110mm :-)

Lucky you, Sun lovely here first thing but before I had chance to finish breakfast loads of nasty clouds.

Maybe tomorrow.
