Halley's observation notes for the transit of Mercury in 1677 from the Royal Society archives, and the reflecting telescope built for the 1st of the pair of Venus transits in 1761, the one before the one James Cook observed. lovely bit of kit.

I love this Youtube channel, well worth subscribing.
